How heartbreaking. We lost our 16 y/0 yorkie, Alex, in July. He had been in renal failure for two years. Our vet, was wonderful, and in addition to medical treatment, said to enjoy each day as a gift, and that we would know when it was time to let him pass. We did. The pain was nearly unbearable. I feel your pain.
