Ladyjane, I will apologize for my remarks, but I felt more like I was a child being scolded than someone looking for advice. I understand about people neglecting their animals or abusing them. Beleive it or not, although I do not have the funds to continue treatment, I would find a way, just like I have before. I have missed car payments, begged for money from family and friends. Perhaps I took her comment incorrectly because of the worry for our Bailey, but that is not what I was wanting to or looking to hear. Sorry if I offended you, or upset you. I just do not take kindly to being scolded for a decision that I had not yet made. As far as i am concerned, it is done and over with. I spoke my thoughts, and left it at that, so unless it comes up again, consider it dead and burried.
Now for the afternoon update...
Ok, so for the last couple of days she has refused to eat her Beneful Healthy Weight formual, which she has eaten for almost 2 years, so today while we were out, I stopped to pick up new food. Purina One Lamb and Rice. I put it in her dish, the same dish she has used since she was a puppy, and she snubbed up, giving me the look as if the Princess was disgusted. But, when my Cousin put canned food in his dog's dish, Ms. Bailey proceeded to sneak in and take bites. This is the same canned food I gave her yesterday when she refused to eat. We want to stop feeding canned/wet as it makes her stools very soft, then we have to wipe and clean her causing dry, red skin... Any suggestions???
Other than that, she seems to be getting better. She is sleeping now but is on the sofa sprawled out and not hiding in the kitchen or bedroom. One ear is still semi-floppy, and the other is fine... I am hoping that over the next few days she starts getting even better and starts eating normally... |
