I just went back and reread this entire thread and have copied the above to make it clear. I think that it is time to drop the complaint about the one poster who mentioned surrendering to rescue. She meant NO harm and was not being condescending at all! The only people who were offended were two people who are new to YT.

You said you could not do it and the poster offered suggestions.

Let me please explain something so that you might hopefully understand.
Some of us have been on YT for some time now and see a lot of things, some things that are beyond depressing when it comes to these little furballs that we love so much. There are people who deny treatment for their pups because of money. I have a foster who was left with a fractured leg for six months!#@@!@#! all because his owner could not afford it. Took her that long to decide to surrender him.

Armyvet, you DID say that you could not continue to pay vet bills and someone responded, telling you that your pup's medical needs cannot be ignored. She offered different ways including insurance, credit cards and rescue. You obviously did not like that suggestion (rescue) and felt it was a personal attack, but it was a valid suggestion. You further explained what you meant in your statement which made perfect sense. You had written what you had out of frustrations and you would like to find answers. Money is tight, but you were clear that you have always taken care of her needs and will continue to do so. So, now we know! But the initial sentence was concerning. She was right....the pup should not suffer because of your financial status. It was a statement and was not meant to say that you were going to allow your pup to suffer. That, in my opinion, should have ended it. It did for most, but some people want to carry on about it.

It is now time to let it die! The person who said it is a long term YT member who I know did not mean anything negative at all.
It was merely a suggestion and honestly had I responded to it before her, I might have said the same thing. I saw your response, so my responses were different. She, on the other hand, only had your words to go by.
