Fizz does the same thing to her food...I assumed she was hunting it down and 'subduing' it to enhance her enjoyment of her dinner.
As for the gas, I will follow this post with interest as Fizz on occasion can clear a room.
We attributed it to the duck strips we use for training - but could be wrong.
