If dogs are being obnoxiously friendly, often times an older more 'mature' dog will say 'that's enough!' by giving them a growl, nip, etc. And since there was no blood or damage done (which a big dog could EASILY kill or badly injure a little dog), his intent was not to kill, but just teach a lesson. I am glad Freddy is okay and everyone learned from this experience! It's super important to read dogs body language, because I am also one of those people that lets Jackson go up to other dogs so long as the owner says it's okay. Jackson also LOVES all other dogs, and I love for him to be socialized, and sometimes I catch myself just allowing it to happen and maybe putting *too* much trust in other peoples dogs.
