Thanks for all of the advice! I am still so conflicted! Levi isn't consistently having accidents (and every accident he has is by a door) - I am just not used to him having accidents at all!! I don't mind taking him out often, I just think it's less fun for him when he is constantly leashed and not allowed to run around as he pleases. But we've been taking more frequent trips to the dog park to make up for it.

My main reason for wanting to incorporate the pee pad is when I am gone for longer periods of time. But I wouldn't want the pee pad by my door...which is really the only place he has accidents. I guess I should put it where I want it to go...and then train him to use it? He is two now and has always been outdoor trained (as far as I know - he is a rescue, so I didn't have him as a puppy). So I am a bit concerned about confusing the heck out of him.

Brit - we do have a porch, but I don't really know anything about potty patches. Does anyone know if these actually work? For some reason, I thought they were just supposed to look nicer/more realistic than a pee pad. Are they even real grass? I am so confused, ha!
