my dogs are trained to go on pee pads, and i find this to be extremely convenient. because no matter where i take them, i know that they will go on the pee pad when they need to go potty. sometimes when we go for a long drive, if they need to go potty, i don't need to stop anywhere, i just put them in the backseat and put the pee pads down for them.
also when i have playdates with others, i can just put pee pads down and know that they will go there when they need to go potty, where as my friends outdoor trained dogs are always peeing on my carpet every time they play in my house because their mom didn't know that they had to go potty!
it's a personal preference though. and it also depends on your dog. i know some people have a hard time training their dog to use pee pads. i didn't have any trouble, it was pretty easy to train mine to use the pee pads. though milu is a little picky about the cleanliness of the pee pad, if i don't switch it frequently enough, she won't use it. |
