Some things we still disagree on, but I was extremely pleased to see her taking a step forward by stopping the brokering and establishing this program. I don't know much about it, other then what I'm told and if it's all that has been explained to me then I think it will be a very nice program for the mom dogs who would other wise be in a kennel situation or rehomed at retirement. This is the extent of where I'll defend anything. I still feel that some of the moms are too small to breed and that they are bred more then they should be, but this is not only with her, it's with so many even those that people consider reputable.

So does she not sell the dogs to these families? Does she place them & in return for not paying for them, they agree to let her breed and then take the puppies? I'm just curious how that works or do these owners buy them and give her some of the puppies and keep some?
I mean the poster on this thread bought her female from someone who bought the dog from her. I guess that could have been when she was brokering
I guess I'm just wondering who has ownership of all these puppies, it seems like it could easily lead to not having control over your lines or whatever.
I understand & can respect she has become a friend of yours.
I just have to say for me, if I were a potential buyer or someone that would ask, I just would never consider her.
If she's stopped brokering, good for her, but she's done it, she's ok with mixes and shares her website with her daughter and there are lots of mixes on there, unfortunately.
Then with breeding small females & too many times.
For me personally, I just could never buy from a breeder like that, but I appreciate the explanation!
