Thanks. Those stairs are much wider than the ones I bought and returned to Petsmart. My husband made them some stairs and carpeted them with leftover carpet we had from our family room. With Toby's LP issues lately I haven't been able to train him but our other dog, Speedy evidently wanted to teach him! My husband said she was on the bed this morning and Toby was on the floor barking to get on the bed so Speedy jumped off the bed, ran around to the stairs and went up them. No luck....Toby kept barking so she jumped off the bed again, ran around to the stairs and went up them again. Still no luck. My husband said finally the third time she did this Toby went up the steps. She was actually teaching him how to go up the steps. Now we just need to teach both of them how to go down them. That will be the real test. Thanks for all the suggestions. I think we are good to go.

I have had to cut Toby's treats and eating habits way back because of his LP so it looks like I will have to train him to come down the steps with bites of treats!
