I am still having issues with my 8 month old in regards to the pottying as well. The one thing that I have found that has really helped has been crating and tethering. The only time he has free roam is immediately after he has peed and pooped. Otherwise he is in his crate or tethered to me. This way there are absolutely no accidents. I also found that when he does have an accident it is always within the same 10 foot area. I was advised by a trainer to totally gate (or cover with boxes ) that area. I have also washed my floor with Natures Miracle and used one of those Ultra Violet lights in the dark to make sure I have gotten rid of any remaining stains.
My little guy also never lets me know when he has to go out. I am also thinking of trying to teach him to use bells. |
