By signs of pain, I meant limping. If I had let her she probably would have raced around and resumed all normal activities while limping.
It's so hard to keep these active little guys calm for any reason. I just kept reminding myself the sooner we got this healed up the sooner she could resume normal play. She wasn't happy with me, but I think she got used to it too. It just became the routine for those few weeks. As long as they won't wrestle in the xpen, then that would probably work if Cooper is what gets him all riled up anyways. I kept Lane's crate open next to Rory's, and she is so attached to Rory that she laid in her crate all day next to her. |
I'm definitely doing the crate today. Last night was awful. Max jumps to try to get out of the ex-pen, which really doesn't help anyone.
He's in the crate now, crying and crying. I put him in the crate in the windowsill for a while (couch up against it), but Cooper went off into a corner upset. It's Cooper's special spot. I gave him a bully stick with a little peanut butter, which kept him busy for 20 minutes. I'm hoping he'll just cry himself to sleep
