My yorkie (Lady) gave birth this evening to three precious little puppies. One however was born with its eyes open. It seems strong and keeps fighting to get up to her belly but he wont latch on to her. Lady keeps separating it from the other pups. I have taken the other two puppies away momentarily and left it alone with her. She cleans it and lays down for it but it wont latch on. I have squeezed a little milk out to tempt it but nothing. I don't know what to do. I have called the animal emergency clinic and they have told me to try bottle feeding it, keep it warm, and make sure to stimulate it. It is a little fighter. Is there any techniques out there that I haven't tried yet. Please please help. I don't want to lose this little one.
