I always feel a twinge when I read the horror stories and see the picutes of bad jobs done by Petsmart groomers. And MANY years ago, I had a Petsmart groomer shave my Sheltie a couple of days before I had scheduled an appointment for professional pictures, so I understand how upsetting it can be.
 BUT....

I was referred to a groomer that manages my local Petsmart, and she is FABULOUS!! She loves my dogs, and usually has a couple of hers at the store with her while she's working.

She's always done an excellent job with the Shelties and the Eskie with their thick under coats, but I was a little concerned when I took Dublin for the first time. I armed myself with pictures, though, and she did a great job with him. Widget has only had a trim, and she did fine with that, too.

However, she's the only one who grooms my dogs, and if she ever left, I'd prefer to follow her. I really don't think I'd continue at the Petsmart because the groomers are really young, seem inexperienced, and they have a high turnover...
