I too think it looks like a bite. Maybe a brown spider. They cause tissue decay like that picture shows. I've seen a brown spider bite on horses and people, but never a dog. Regardless, I hope you get some answers today and your baby gets better. I just feel so sorry for her, and you need some rest.
