i used to feed them frozen raw. i have a feeling they got sick last Labor day because some of their raw food unthawed on our hour long trip and gave them bacteria or salmonella. since i handled it and am always cleaning up their messes chances are i may have picked it up as well. i mean no i don't roll in their poo, but still it doesn't take much to make a human sick from fecal or raw contaminations.

edit to add: and it might be that my tummy aches are totally unrelated to theirs but ya never know. i'm fine most of the time, occasional diarrhea after a meal, strage abdominal pains and some gas/bloat but that might just be irregularity from a change in schedules in our home and a recent trip. i always get sick after traveling from the different food/environment.
