I think Libby looks very much like a yorkie- just like people, everyone has a slightly different look. You won't believe how much her appearance is going to change in the next year! Take lots of pictures!!
I read somewhere that yorkies with the short, slow growing type of coats end up having the "true" yorkshire terrier coat.
My girl, Mia, looked like your Libby when she was younger, I also have her brother, Leo, from the same litter. You wouldn't even know they are related- they are as different in looks and attitude as night and day!
He was so very fluffy, and she was so very NOT.
Don't worry- it just takes time to grow that yorkie coat.
I understand where you are coming from, we pay a lot of money for one of these sweet babies, we don't want to be taken advantage of... since this is your first it is natural that you will have lots of questions about what is normal and what isn't.
