From your post above saying that you have been dealing with red itchy flaky skin only getting worse and worse over time, and the dermatologist saying she has mites, sounds like mange. Treatment for mange can be spread out over some time, and can be stressful to their little systems so if that is what you are dealing with, I would definitely wait to proceed with her spay until you have her skin problem under control as the surgery will only put her under more stress. But, I see her surgery was scheduled for today. Poor girl, I would think her skin problems are what's causing her to not feel good.
