Some flea dips can be extremely dangerous, especially to a tiny liver shunt baby. Please talk to your vet before you use anything like this. You should also ask what he recommends for future flea/tick control - you can't be too careful.

I googled First Guard Flea and couldn't find anything. Are you certain that's the name?

For immediate, temporary removal of fleas you can bathe him in Dawn dishwashing liquid.
