Cash does the same thing! I restrict him from any garbage bins (i.e. the kitchen) because he loves dumpster diving to spite me! If he is angry at me, he will sulk in the laundry bin for hours. Definitely restrict him and make sure there are loads of fun things for him to keep himself busy with.
