For staph, most vet derms will use Simplicef x 1 month.

Our vet also prescribes Simplecef for about a month for staph infection... We have had to go on it longer for tough cases which is due to late spring/summer allergies...As Barney has gotten older, he has become more prone. Steroid shots (vetalog) suppressed Barney's immune system, which worsened the problem. Simplecef has not failed us yet. BTW Clavamox didn't go anything for us either.
