What I think of the situation is that they seem like they are irresponsible pet owners and now breeders too. If they are planning on doing it again, then it seems like they are content to stay that way. Whether the pedigrees contain 'a name or two' means very little in even planned breedings, and even less in this one. |

If the parents weren't screened before the mated, you could end up with a puppy with some serious medical issues. Some lines have genetic diseases and some have genetic malfunctions - LP, Liver Shunts, Open Fontenels...
If the puppy has a low price ticket up front there's a pretty good chance that the puppy will have a large vet ticket later on.
I would seriously think about this puppy before taking it on. But, good luck in whatever you choose. |
I agree with both posters!
Personally, I do not want to knowingly buy from irresponsible pet owners that do not know anything about breeding and are going to continue to be irresponsible and breed again. They are breeders, they are "back yard breeders" and I wouldn't want to get a pet that way.
I seriously doubt they did any testing, evaluating since they don't even know what papers if any they even have. If they actually got their dogs from legit breeders, they would know about papers.
You could be in heartache down the road in vet care, etc...
