Until I was laid off 5 years ago, I always had a dog and got them as puppies and worked full time. Most of the time, my husband got home by 3 pm and I had 1/2 days on Friday. Other than that the puppy was alone. I never had a problem. I kept them in the kitchen area and had newspaper down and kept food down. I just had to wash the floor everyday when I got home. All of them were trained to go outside. It did take longer to train them since I wasn't home during the day. All of mine slept in my room at night. You may want to get a little older one or a little larger one since you can't go home and check on the puppy during the day. If you are open to rescue, there are so many adult dogs looking for a loving home. |
