I hope your little one feels better soon. I am clueless about how long it will take; perhaps a week or so. I was told from a friend who works at Banfield to wait until Khloe gained a little weight and was being spayed so that she would be under anesthesia before micro-chipping. The size of the needle to insert a microchip is about the size of a fork prong; ouch! Did the vet offer you any pain relievers? I would call your vet and ask him to write you a prescription for pain meds, and administer them to your little love for the next few days.
