Had 4 kids, ballooned to 250 pounds 2 years ago. None of the pills worked. I dieted and exercised 6 days a week taking in 1100 calories a day under Dr. supervision and a nutritionist. I never cheated once!! and lost 12 pounds in 6 months!! Talk about depressing..
In Feb. 2009 I had a gastric bypass and even after that and not cheating and going to the gym (just got back 20 mins ago) I am down to 180!! But have stayed there for 5 months now. So some think that the surgery is a "quick fix" and cheating and to them I say then do not have it. I know I have regained some of my life back but am not happy with the 180. So, I do not believe in the pills as you just gain it back. Lifestyle change, exercise, and nutrition counseling. If all else fails lap band or surgery if you are in the obese range. | Congratulations on your weight loss Any loss is better than none. I have to disagree with you on your last couple of statements. Not only can you gain it back after stopping the pills - you can gain it back after the surgery, too. Lifestyle changes (food & exercise) goes without saying in any of these situations - but as you know - it's only a piece of the puzzle. Now where are the other pieces??? lol!
