I know we've chatted and I appreciate your kind words. Dyeing and enhancements is not just done in yorkies.
But one has to always remember "health" should be the #1 priority then structure and movement ect...I still prefer the silky color standard but as long as the yorkie standard says what it does I will uphold it to the best of my ability

How true!! I own a maltese and belong to a few forums so I know a little bit about what goes on. There is a formula many use to bleach the tear stains away and it is very harsh. I can't imagine using something so damaging to achieve that nice white look.
Did you know you could feed your maltese kelp and it helps restore some of the black on their nose that may have faded from lack of light.
Donna I wish more people were like you. You have strong beliefs and stick to them but at the same time you can have a nice debate with someone without belittling them. I've always respected you and your knowledge and I'm glad we have you on this forum.
I personally love the parti look although for me I have a very specific color placement that I prefer.
My main concern for the parti breeders is that they are being called unreputable because of the color they are striving for. I don't think this is fair if they are upholding the rest of the standard and ethics, health testing, etc.
They are after all striving for a goal which is to get them shown. They are trying their best to go about it the right away so how can they be called bad breeders?
