Pills just scare me. My Mom took one of the diet pills that you could get only from a Dr. years ago ( not phen phen ) and had real complications. It made me never touch a diet pill ever.
I was obese, 250lbs actually and I lost 120lbs on Weight Watchers, so I do know how hard it is and it was the best thing I've ever done! |

Had 4 kids, ballooned to 250 pounds 2 years ago. None of the pills worked. I dieted and exercised 6 days a week taking in 1100 calories a day under Dr. supervision and a nutritionist. I never cheated once!! and lost 12 pounds in 6 months!! Talk about depressing..
In Feb. 2009 I had a gastric bypass and even after that and not cheating and going to the gym (just got back 20 mins ago) I am down to 180!! But have stayed there for 5 months now. So some think that the surgery is a "quick fix" and cheating and to them I say then do not have it. I know I have regained some of my life back but am not happy with the 180.
So, I do not believe in the pills as you just gain it back. Lifestyle change, exercise, and nutrition counseling. If all else fails lap band or surgery if you are in the obese range. |
Congrats to both of you, that's amazing

! Cheers to your good health and hard work!
