Here is a last resort idea. I just left a work assignment in Hopkinsville, KY a few months ago. I lived there for a year. (Hopkinsville is about an hour away from Nashville.) While I was there, I made friends with the owners of Cricketts daycare.
Don and Michelle are absolutely the BEST doggie daycare people I have ever met and spoiled Crickett rotten. In fact they ruined me for all other daycares. Their rates were outrageously low ($10 a day for a normal day, I'm sure a bit higher for holidays.) Their staff comes in several times a day if they happened to be closed. In fact my niece ended up working there after Crickett started going. I I know how careful they are with their pets.
You could drop Abbey off during the day and pick her up in the evening. Send me a PM if you would like to know the name, number or website. You could even give Michelle a call and see what type of arrangement you could make. She goes out of her way for all pets and even volunteers at the local shelters several days a week.
