Finally, I threw some cushions on the floor in the living and laid down with my hand rubbing his back and he eventually got quiet. | Poor little guy  I know the feeling of wanting to comfort and it just not working. It's not anything that you are doing/not doing. Maybe the vet will prescribe something that will help him be more comfortable.
