"Our two sons have dogs but after Abby visited at their houses, their dogs now pee on the floors so Abby is not welcome there either. Naturally we want to visit with our choldren and grandchildren so it is very difficult now with our Abby, with whom we are so in love. We HATE to leave her"....
I have the same situation. I am very sensitive to any smells (sinus problems) and I work hard at getting Zoe potty trained. I mop the floors all the time to prevent new odors and to get rid of existing ones. She will go outside to potty or use her pee pads for days and I think she has it under control when my daughter comes with her yorkie (who faithfully uses the pads) and then Zoe will start peeing all over the floor again. I don't know why they do that.
