I have an 8' tall 8' by 40' run out my back door for mine. Its done with privacy fence and buried mesh so nothing gets in or out. No gate either.

We have many predator birds in my area so up to this point I have no doggy door. Its also against the law to harm any of these birds.

So I came up with a solution. We are going to cover the entire run with mesh so nothing can swoop in. If it gets tangled in there it shouldn't really harm them.
Then I am going to put a doggy door in their grooming room so they can go in and out when ever they want and still be safe. Hopefully it will work.
