It isn't monthly, it's more like every 4 mos I think. Is there a reason why you aren't spaying her? It will reduce her chances of developing cancer and you won't have to put up with unnecessary mess. There are "diapers" you can put on her but these are not used for preventing her from getting pregnant. If I read right, your male is neutered but I have read here on YT that he could still "tie" with her, possibly injuring either or both of them. She could be coming into heat as we speak. Have you discussed spaying with your Vet?
