there are deterrents you can add to their food that tastes good going in but then makes the poop taste bad so they won't eat it or touch it. Some you can get from your vet or pet store. Others you may have at home like pineapple chunks (simplest one to try first).

morgan never played with poop but she used to take anything that fell on the floor to play with (paper, receipts, magazines, pens, etc...). I used the "booby trap" method for this. I would take a little piece of paper and spray it with bitter apple then "accidentally" drop it. she would go after it, take one bite, then spit it out and leave it alone. worked like a charm. So maybe you can use this method with poop as well. Tabasco sauce or bitter apple spray should work but obviously you need to be around when she poops to do this, or set up training sessions with flavored poop. haha
