It may help, but it's hard to tell, usually, neutering before the marking behavior starts is the best way to prevent marking. I have two rescue boys who were neutered at a year old and they both still mark, pretty much no matter what I've tried, LOL. They are just hard-wired to mark. Maybe someone who has been successful at deterring marking can help.
