these can be cut in half and i think think that is the only way the theophylline comes you dont want all the drug absorbed in the body at the same time and thephylline has a pretty hig absorption rate, so they use the time release to slow it down.

The reason you don't cut time released meds (even scored ones) is because the coating around the tablet is part of the time release mechanism. It slows down the absorption rate. Unless you are specifically told to do so by your vet or pharmacist, it's not ok to do as you are exposing too much medication and risk over dosing.
