Agree 100%. You definitely did the right thing by picking up your little guy...but this is wise in any situation, regardless of the size or breed of other dog. Also not defending anyone, but maybe that guy with the pit bull was thinking to himself "oh man, I thought I got away from them"
... Maybe his pit was just curious and interested in meeting the boys.
