As far as the dog not being trained, alot of doggies pull on the lead because they are excited about seeing people or other dogs. Fair enough the pitbull has a terrible name for attacking dog and its an idea to always be safe than sorry but unless his dog was running around off the lead then i dont see what he has done wrong? Maybe his dog loves dogs and was just was excited to see them?
I am sorry i really dont mean to be sticking up for him but maybe he just wanted to walk his dog too because he had every right to be there just like you did.
Glad your little boys are ok tho, sounds like a lovely place you went for a walk xxxx |
I agree. We have a lot of different breeds of dogs in our neighborhood and whenever I walk Fynn, I'm just cautious of them.
I mean, the other people walking their dogs have the same right to be out with them that I have with Fynn. Just because the guy was walking his Pit on the same route you were walking Peanut and Todd doesn't mean he was doing it to be rude or spiteful.
It could just as easily have been another small dog that attacked. It doesn't have to be a big one to do damage.
Fynnlie's best friend is a Collie/Lab mix. Chai is massive compared to Fynnlie but I trust her and Deb - her 'owner' - completely.
I don't mean to be offensive or make you upset, I'm just saying that it's not only Pits that are dangerous. If I had been in your place and the guy and his dog were making me uncomfortable, I'd have picked Fynn up, too and been on my way.
