We just had our new baby boy done this past Thursday and he did fine. He's four months and just over 5 pounds. He barely has an incision, just a couple of stitches, and although they sent us home with pain meds, we haven't used them. He was up and wanting to play that evening, didn't act like he was at all uncomfortable. We've had more problems keeping his activity down and keeping the cone on him. i'll probably take the pain meds back to the vet when we get his stitches out so they can dispose of it safely. I won't tell you not to worry because you will....but he'll do fine and he'll let you know if he's needing a little pain relief. you know these boys, they whine and complain at the least little bit of discomfort
