left the vet quite confused So I had some seemingly solid information after researching all possible health issues in puppies (vomiting, diarrhea, kennel cough .... ect) so I felt pretty confident when my mom called me last Sunday to tell me Kasha's #2 wasn't her usual rock(she's raw fed). I thought it was just her being separated from her mom & dad(we were away for the weekend) but told my mom to make her some chicken & rice, watch her water intake as well as feed her some organic pumpkin to be safe.
She got progressively mushier & intermittent mucus over the week but was eating & drinking more than normal. So Thursday we took to her to the vet. Unfortunately it's an animal hospital so unless you specify the vet you like ... you get who ever is free. DBF forgot to ask for the vet who I really like.
The vet we got told me pumpkin was a laxative & blamed her diarrhea on that w/o any further testing. He put her on Tylan and Endosorb to help her get back to normal. While she is no longer leaving puddles of #2 ... they have form now. She's still pretty mushy. No other symptoms & all.
Here's my question(s).
1) What does everyone here use pumpkin for?
2) Anyone who's had a little one on these meds before ... how long till everythings back to normal?
Thanks!!
