Default Still missing Scoop after 6 years

My friend Sheila had a Yorkie named Scoop who forgot he weighed only seven lbs. as he barked as if he were a German Shepherd. I met her when she came into the tutoring center for help with a presentation, which she entitled "My Own Personal Hero." I helped her find examples of dogs we usually think of as heroes, such as St. Bernards who rescue people trapped in the snow, or Roselle, the gorgeous retriever (Yellow Lab or Golden) who guided her blind owner down 178 flights of stairs in one of the Twin Towers on Sept. 11.

Scoop was her hero simply because he showed unconditional love. He died at the age of 13, and six years later she still misses him terribly. Because she does not have internet access, Sheila is entrusting me with telling her story and finding breeders in Rochester, NY. No dog will ever replace her beloved Scoop, but she believes that his spirit is watching her and that he will love his new brother or sister.
