My puppy came to me with this horrible cough also. I took him to the vet but he didn't detect any congestion. He sounded clear, but after a couple of weeks he was still coughing. I took him back to the vet - so the vet took xrays in order to rule out any problems with his trachea. All looked good. Apparently it was kennel cough - and - it took him about a month to finally stop coughing.
So if it is kennel cough - keep with the meds and be patient because it does take a long long time to get over. |
