Just a bit of info
- All the experts I spoke with including the surgeon who operated on Matise (he has performed over 100 successful Liver shunt surgeries) that most shunt dogs start showing signs as early as 4 months of age. There are some dogs that show signs earlier or later in age it depends on whether or not the shunt is inside or outside the liver and the location of the shunt. But the majority of shunt dogs show the signs earlier rather than later.
