When the kneecap slipped Beamer couldn't walk or step on it, and he literally screamed in pain, that is why I thought something was terribly wrong.
As soon as it slips back into place it is like nothing happened. Which is why I suspect this is what could be the problem with Maya as you said she started walking like nothing happened

I would definitely have your vet check your little one out to be on the safe side.
