I heard today from a Vet that he sees several Yorkies that have been injured by predator birds!! He indicated that several times people think these little dogs get stolen and they are actually being carried away by a bird. What a terrible thought!
Anyway I now have some reservations on incorporating a dog door. I would however have a great set up that would allow him to go out to a small area of yard and I could close the door to this "deck room" so he would not have access to the entire house.
What does everyone think??
Is this a huge risk??
ps. I live in the city so predators would less than in a rural area |
