Educating people about puppymills & Pet stores that purchase from puppy mills is in no way condoning bad breeders or BYBers either. You seem to think that since this thread is about a Pet Store selling puppies (that we all know come from puppymills & are almost always afflicted with health & emotional problems) that we are all saying ONLY the Pet Stores are bad...Anyone who breeds just for the money (BYB, commercial breeders) are not in it for the love of the breed. Those should be stopped as well.
But continuing to purcahse from a known puppymill is not attempting to shut down anything. It is contributing to the problem. Just like continuing to purchase from a bad breeder, BYB, etc would be...if you cut off the $$$, they will go out of business. It's a matter of economics. It is terribly sad for the pups that are in the puppy mill situation, but feeling sorry for them & taking them home only allows the puppymills to remain in business.
