I don't understand absolutely how some doctors give medication SO EASILY.
in MY opinion, people who take medication in ANY case ARE stupid.
yes, I understand that this situation is not easy. Yes, I understand how she feels (like I told, I was in the same situation). and Yes, I understand you try to do best for her.
I didn't take any medication and NEVER regret about it.
I don't have an addiction to any dangerous pills like Zoloft or Prosac or something else. Actually, everybody knows those things are NOT healthy for you.
Believe me, she will be fine WITHOUT those stupid pills. I know this for sure.

But I do agree with you that some people absolutely don't understand how close our dogs to us... like children....
She was not given Prozac or anything long term such as that. She was given a few valiums to help her through the next few days. Once they run out she will be forced to accept the magnitude of her loss medication free. It will not be easy for her, I am sure. Many people are given valium when they are over run with grief. The experience of having to see your beloved pet's mangled body is not something everyone is strong enough to endure.
