Glad to hear that the batty situation is resolved. What a cute little dude - thank you for risking life and limb to snap a pic to share with us. I absolutely LOVE bats - they are awesome to watch in the dusky evening hours. I thank them every night for eating those nasty mosquitoes.
On a more serious note, please be very careful about coming into contact with a bat that is flying about during the day or is acting unusual in any way. If the health department found out that you had been in contact with one then there is the much over-rated rabies issue. I can tell you from experience that they will scare the socks off of you and make you believe that if you don't receive the rabies vaccination series that you will surely die a slow and painful death.
Several yers ago bat was in our barn on the floor of the washroom and after talking with the over zealous health department employee I made a quick decision to capture the bat and relocate him outdoors where he would be safe from the head hunters.
