A byb or miller will not tell you over the phone they are one. Of course she will tell you the opposite. If she has tons of people working for her, she has to pay them right? That means she's doing this for the money. Living off the backs of her dogs.
If a breeder truly loves a breed, they will breed to protect it, and for the betterment of the breed. Have you noticed that yorkies looks nowadays range considerably? Have you ever thought someone's yorkie didn't look like a yorkie? Those breeders did not strive to better the breed. (FYI, just bc a dog is registered with the AKC doesn't mean they should be bred either, it just means that breeder can keep decent records. And if a breeder registers with ACA, APRI, CKC run away.)
A breeder who purposely breeds mixed breed dogs is NOT doing it for the love of the breed, they are doing it for the love of the money. Mixed breeds does not protect the individual breeds. If you want a morkie specifically, adopt one from your local shelter, they are full of mixed breed dogs.
Also why would you want to have your puppy stuck in a plane and fly over to you? there was a recent news article that several puppies died in flight while being shipped from a miller. Why would you risk that on a baby?
If you have already made up your mind about this person, then I hope the best for you. But why add the additional risk when you don't have to? Better yet, look for local breeders in your area, at least then you can check out the living conditions in person. i would not believe a stranger over the phone or internet. Just like you can choose to believe her or not, you can choose whether or not to believe us. We are not trying to get your money, she is. We are trying to save you from potential heartache. |

I didn't know any better. Now that i do, I try to educate others. I got SO lucky with Uni not having too many health issues. she has been diagnosed with LP 3 and mild pancreatitis. She is on expensive glucosamine supplements, and I have to be super careful with what I feed her. I got off easy. Talk to others on here who had to take their babies to get liver shunt surgery, otherwise they would have died.
We are just trying to warn you of what could happen and all the scammers and bad breeders out there. When you haven't seen it first hand it's hard to believe there would be people out there who would abuse these beautiful animals. Once you open your eyes, it's hard to NOT be skeptical of everything. I am skeptical of this person. |
Thank You, this is what I was trying to emphasize as well.
When buying from large volume breeders like this one appears to be is just a potential for heartache in the health & $ department down the road.
The puppy price seems cheap at the front end, but who knows about the future.
Not to mention I do NOT want to pay & support someone who makes their living from their dogs.
I also entered their address & another address on the same road (google earth) of a kennel called Raintree owned by someone with the same last name. You can see what clearly looks like kennel buildings in the vicinity.
I can't stand to think of all these hundreds of dogs living like this!
There are so many small breed mixes that can be found in shelters that came from breeders like this all over the country!
A Morkie is a "mutt" and there is nothing wrong with that! I have a "mutt" myself! I have a Yorkie-Poo, so I don't have anything against mutts, just unethical breeders.
I also came across an article on a pet store in CT called Westport and it mentioned they get some of their puppies from this breeder. So who knows how many pet stores across the country they sell to. It disgusts me!
