Bats are very beneficial. However, this year there is an abnormal amount of the bat population as well as the skunk population that is carrying rabies. Please be careful when disposing of any that are found dead, or that are lying around not moving, as they may still be alive, just sick and able to infect.
Rabies will effect the neurological system and the brain, and the animal will behave very different than normal. So if you see any animals with disturbing behavior, notify the Animal Control in your area. |
