I would think that one of the main things they are looking for prior to a home visit and/or talking with a prospective adopter is responsible pet ownership that begins with
good vetting. That is the A number one reason that MANY people are turned down. We do not adopt to people who short cut on vetting...period...well let's just say *I* will not.
