Sorry, I should have clarified - these were the two basic things that had to be done, but obviously they had to find your application and home visit favorable. The home visit was very thorough - lots of questions about our schedule, lifestyle, working hours, etc. The person checked our home top to bottom to make sure our house was safe for a dog. She spent a lot of time talking with both of us to make sure we were prepared for another dog.
The application was reviewed by someone at the rescue. It was a long application but touched on some really good topics.
